Steven J. Field has experience in multi-unit residential and commercial real estate transactions, including handling matters pertaining to the acquisition, conveyance, financing and leasing of residential and commercial properties. His practice includes working with clients regarding Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified buildings and related sustainability (green) issues.
Additionally, Mr. Field has experience in commercial real estate litigation, including forcible entry and detainer actions, breach of contract actions, post-judgment collection and enforcement actions. He also represents clients at the Cook County Assessor's Office, Board of Appeals, Property Tax Appeals Board and in the Circuit Court of Cook County.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Field had an active career as a business development professional and entrepreneur and uses those experiences to assist clients in formulating courses of action.
Admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois, Mr. Field received his Juris Doctor degree from The John Marshall Law School and was a member of The John Marshall Law Review. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University and is currently working towards a LEED Accredited Professional designation.
Mr. Field is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association.
