Steven J. Field has extensive experience challenging real estate assessments throughout the State of Illinois. Over the course of his career, he has saved clients millions of dollars in taxes and dramatically increased the market value of represented properties. He also functions as a trusted advisor for clients that need to understand and plan for the tax implications of their real estate related investments and decisions.
He has successfully represented clients in matters appearing in front of various municipalities, Assessors and Boards of Review, Circuit Court, the Illinois Property Tax Appeal Board and the Illinois Department of Revenue.
In addition, Steven has significant experience in commercial litigation, including forcible entry and detainer actions, breach of contract actions, post-judgment collection and enforcement actions; as well as, experience in a wide variety of real estate transactions.
Prior to joining the firm, Steven had an active career as a business development professional and entrepreneur and uses those experiences to assist clients in formulating courses of action.
Admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois, Steven received his Juris Doctor degree from The John Marshall Law School and was a member of The John Marshall Law Review. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University.
