2025 Cook County Second Installment Property Tax Bills are Due October 1, 2026

The 2025 Cook County second installment property tax bills were scheduled to be mailed by the Treasurer’s Office as of September 1, 2026. The Treasurer’s Office must receive payment no later than October 1, 2026, to avoid penalty interest.

The second installment property tax bills were delayed by approximately two months due to various technical difficulties which resulted from an “upgrade” to Cook County’s property tax computer systems. The technical difficulties have been corrected enough to finally mail the tax bills.

Visit the Cook County Treasurer’s Website to view and pay your property tax bill using your address or property tax identification number (PIN), which can be found on your tax bill (e.g. 00-00-000-000-0000).
